Latinos & farm workers in Salinas

 
     United Farm Workers activists will use a training session on Saturday to formally kick off a door-to-door campaign to register new Latino and farm worker voters in Monterey County in time for the Nov. 7 general election.
 
     UFW supporters will gather at the union’s Salinas office before being dispatched to area neighborhoods where they will register Latinos to vote. The UFW drive, which will continue through the close of registration on Oct. 9, is targeting precincts that have been identified as fertile ground for Latino voter registration.
