Inaugural Event in Delano to Celebrate
Life and Legacy of Cesar E. Chavez

DELANO – Hundreds are expected to attend the inaugural event celebrating the life and legacy of Cesar Chavez in Delano on March 30.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cecil Avenue Park, corner of Cecil Avenue and Norwalk Street. A parade will begin at 11 a.m.

The day long will feature food, arts and crafts booths and music. Special musical guest Rene Infante, son of the legendary Pedro Infante, will perform.

Guests include UFW Co-founder Dolores Huerta, Delano Mayor Grace Vallejo and Kern County Supervisor Michael Rubio.

The event is sponsored by the UFW, La Campesina, SEIU Local 521 Latino Caucus, SEIU Local 521 and the City of Delano.
