Farm Worker Movement Radio Stations hold Radiothon for Citrus Freeze Victims
Caravan to Bring Vanloads of Food to Porterville Farm Workers

What:   Six different Radio Campesina stations from three different states will caravan to Porterville on Saturday, bringing vanloads of badly-needed food donations to farm workers and their families affected by the freeze.

The van caravan will be greeted by dozens of UFW Foundation volunteers, who will immediately begin sorting the non-perishable food into boxes that will feed hundreds of area farm workers and their families.

When:  Saturday, March 3, 2007
10 a.m. – Caravan arrives/Food sorting
Noon to 2 p.m. – Food distribution to farm workers and families
