This week farm workers and students joined together in a series of news conferences, events and visits to lawmakers’ offices across California urging Congress to pass the DREAM Act and the AgJobs bill. Our common purpose is ensuring a brighter future by letting farm workers and students earn the same rights other Americans enjoy in this country. Please immediately contact U.S. Senate leader Harry Reid at (202) 224-3542 and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at (202) 225-4965, before a vote is taken next Tuesday, Dec. 7. Urge both of them to ensure a vote is taken in support of the DREAM Act and AgJobs. Then the American Dream can become a reality for the men, women and children who produce our food and many of our nation’s most promising students who were brought to this country through no fault of their own
