After UFW President Sends Letter to Governor Schwarzenegger: UFW Holds Press Conference in the Sun
What: Farm workers will share what is like to work under the hot sun and how California’s heat laws are not being enforced in the fields at a press conference tomorrow in Arvin.
This event is only part of the UFW’s efforts to ensure not another farm worker dies due to heat exhaustion this summer. Last week, UFW President Arturo Rodriguez sent a letter to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger asking him to take action to ensure heat regulations are enforced in the fields.
