1-4 p.m. today at Muranaka Farm Inc. in Moorpark
More than 120 Ventura County farm workers will be vaccinated for COVID-19 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. today, March 2 at Muranaka Farm, Inc. near Moorpark. It results from a partnership between the United Farm Workers, UFW Foundation, the unionized Muranaka Farm Inc., and Ventura County Department of Public Health. The collaborative approach could serve as a model for other regions of the state.
Media will have the opportunity to observe and shoot vaccinations and interview workers with patients’ consent.
The second vaccination event, for 500 workers, is scheduled at the UFW Foundation office in Oxnard from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 (details will follow).
