Send your message of encouragement to workers negotiating first contracts

Court battle for the new farm worker election law you helped us win: Join us at rally to protect farmworker rights

Farm workers need your help again. Thanks to the support of thousands of people like you, in 2022, farm workers and their supporters marched and won a law to make it safer for farm workers to vote in union elections. Using the power of the new law you helped them win, farm workers at several ranches across California have successfully overcome fierce anti-union pressure to organize, win their union elections and are now negotiating first contracts.

Kern County’s Wonderful Nurseries is one of the sites where workers won their election. The General Counsel for California’s agency that is in charge of protecting farm worker rights (ALRB) has issued a complaint against the company charging it with breaking the laws protecting farm worker rights during unionization campaigns. Now, Wonderful Nurseries is at it again. Three weeks ago, Wonderful sued the state of California seeking to overturn the farm worker labor rights law that has brought a new wave of victories to farm workers.

If you are in the area or know someone who is, join us outside the first hearing of the lawsuit trying to get rid of these new farm worker protections. The court hearing begins Wednesday, June 12 at 8 am at Kern County Superior Court Building, 1215 Truxtun Ave, Bakersfield CA, 93301. Farm workers will be holding a rally in front of the courthouse at 7:30 am.

Thank you for your support!
