1-3 p.m. Sunday at ‘Forty Acres’ in Delano
Delano—Children from farm worker and other low-income families will benefit from a gift give-away during a Sunday afternoon gathering at the “Forty Acres” just west of Delano hosted by the Cesar Chavez Foundation, United Farm Workers and the Latino non-profit Celebration Nation. Some 2,000 gifts will be distributed between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Celebration Nation is a non-profit organization serving, informing, and empowering the Latino-indigenous community through nutrition, education, and other resources.
The event will be promoted through ads and public service announcements on the Chavez foundation’s La Campesina and Forge Spanish- and English-language radio stations, social media, UFW farm worker membership and activist networks, and Telemundo Central Valley affiliate television stations.
