César Chávez exhibit to open at County Museum

The Brazoria County Historical Museum will open a Humanities Texas traveling exhibit next month entitled, In His Own Words: The Life and Work of César Chávez. Featuring thirty-eight photographs paired with excerpts from his dynamic speeches, interviews, and authoritative writings, this Humanities Texas traveling exhibition documents the full course of Chávez?s remarkable career and examines the life experiences and philosophical influences that drove him to dedicate himself fully to improving the lives of American farm workers. The exhibit will open on Friday, July 6th and be available for viewing until August 14th.

Located in the historic 1897 Brazoria County Courthouse at 100 East Cedar Street in Angleton, the Museum is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed Sundays and holidays.
