UFW President Gets Invite to White House Reception for Justice Sotomayor

KEENE, CA – Arturo S. Rodriguez, president of the United Farm Workers of America, will be among the many friends, family and dignitaries congratulating and celebrating Judge Sonia Sotomayor at a scheduled White House reception Wednesday.

The 55-year-old Sotomayor became the Supreme Court’s first Hispanic justice and only the third woman to serve in that position in the history of the United States.

"It is a great honor to be part of this historic day for all Latinos in the United States," said Rodriguez. "Judge Sotomayor is a great role model for all children, especially young Latinas, that si se puede. I’m eager to share with farm workers and their families about this great experience," he continued.
