UFW Pres. Rodriguez, Rep. Dooley join farm workers activists in rally for Nicole Parra
More than 70 United Farm Worker activists will join UFW President Arturo Rodriguez and U.S. Rep. Cal Dooley (D-Hanford) in a get-out-the-vote lunchtime rally Tuesday afternoon in Delano for 30th Assembly District Democratic candidate Nicole Parra. It is part of an all-out drive by the Cesar Chavez-founded union to turn out Latino voters for Parra and other UFW-backed candidates.
Immediately after the 1:30 p.m. rally at the union’s “Forty Acres” headquarters in Delano, the UFW’s Rodriguez will join union members and supporters who will continue to walk precincts door-to-door in the Delano area. Parra and Dooley will travel on to Hanford where they will join other supporters who are walking precincts.
