On Saturday March 26, thousands of Angelenos and supporters from around the country will march through the streets of downtown Los Angeles to demand good jobs and a fair economy. They will also stand in solidarity with workers in Wisconsin and in other states who are coming together to protect the American middle class that was created through collective bargaining rights.

The march will begin at the L.A. Convention Center in downtown and will include several stops along the route at major corporate employers attempting to force “WalMart” wages on their workers. The march will end at Pershing Square with a massive rally featuring Mahlon Mitchell, President of the Wisconsin Professional Firefighters Association. Grammy Award winning Latin, rock, and hip hop band Ozomotli will perform.

Leading up to what is sure to be one of the country’s biggest and most diverse actions on behalf of workers’ rights, leaders of national labor unions, as well as Los Angeles labor, community and faith leaders, public and private sector workers, students and community members will be available for media interviews to talk about March 26 and the major movement afoot to take back America’s middle class and protect collective bargaining rights in the U.S.
