I just finished presenting testimony at a congressional hearing side by side with comedian and satirist Stephen Colbert, farm workers and other allies of the UFW-sponsored AgJobs immigration reform bill. The room was packed to overflowing and there were reporters and news crews from everywhere covering our testimony. Stephen Colbert was amazing and so were the farm workers and their supporters. This was an awesome day for farm workers. Finally, they are getting the recognition they deserve for all the hard work they perform day in and day out. We all need to take responsibility for changing the lives of farm workers and their families here in the United States.
