The conference, coinciding with César Chávez Day of Service, will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Associated Students Auditorium, Room 5401. “We hope that after hearing inspiring Latino and Latina speakers, these students will leave motivated to pursue their dreams and aspirations,” said Glenda Moscoso, president of Cuesta’s LLN chapter. “Our group’s mission is to promote the pursuit of higher education and provide opportunities to those with the greatest need.”

The Edúcate — Sí Se Puede conference will include presentations by Hilda Zacarías, a former Santa Maria councilwoman who ran for the 33rd Assembly District in 2010, and Salvador Hurtado, who is developing the Central and South American markets for US Agriseeds, a Californiabased developer of vegetable seeds.
