Activists with the UFW and UFW Foundation will peacefully protest in front of the new Mesa Verde immigration detention center in Bakersfield at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday as part of a nationwide day of action mobilizing against anti-immigrant attacks on President Obama’s new deferred action programs. Immigrant families, community leaders, public officials, Latino and immigrant voters, and immigrant rights groups across the country are participating.
