Les Stukenberg/The Daily Courier Thirty-five people volunteered to help renew the Y Garden Thursday in honor of César Chávez Day. The Y Garden is a community garden located behind Prescott’s YMCA. Its mission is to bring people of all ages and walks of life together to share in growing and consuming fresh food, teaching and learning gardening knowledge, and producing natural food to distribute to those in need. Serve Yavapai and the Yavapai County AmeriCorps Project are partners with the Y Garden in an effort to fight hunger in Yavapai County. |
