Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County to celebrate Cesar Chavez Day
The Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County, located in Paso Robles, will be working on community projects in collaboration with Questbound Leadership to honor of Cesar Chavez Day this year.
The two organizations will add a painting of Cesar Chavez to the Be Great mural located at the club. Members, staff and Questbound Leadership will also be working in the community garden located behind the Paso Robles Travelodge.
The Be Great mural is a multi-year project involving the Central Coast AmeriCorps crew, Club staff and members – and now Questbound Leadership and represents the Boys & Girls Club mission to help children Be Great, reaching their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
The club’s community garden has become a reality as a result of the collaboration between the Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County and the Paso Robles Travelodge. This space provides the opportunity for local Club members to get hands-on experience in growing and producing food.
The Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County is a high-quality after school program serving children ad their families in Paso Robles. They offer comprehensive academic and enrichment programs taught by talented and trained Youth Development Leaders in a fun and safe environment. Enrollment for the year is $20 per child.
