United Farm Workers Show Support of Immigration Reform

By KSEE News

One day after the Senate voted to begin discussions on President Obamas’ immigration reform, the United Farm Workers Organization is showing it’s support.

On Wednesday, advocates of the immigration bill met in downtown Fresno.

Press conferences were held across the state to rally support for this historic legislation.

The bill would create a 13 year pathway to citizenship for most of the country’s eleven million undocumented immigrants.

A final vote on the legislation is expected to come just before the fourth of July recess.

President Obama says he wants the bill on his desk by the end of summer.
