Labor leader Cesar Chavez would have turned 81-years-old Monday.

His life and legacy was celebrated by hundreds of farm workers and their supporters in Delano over the weekend.

Josefina Flores says she worked in the fields with Cesar Chavez and marches with pride and admiration.

Flores remembers when Chavez demanded better working conditions and higher pay for migrant farm workers in the 1950’s.

Other supporters who marched over the weekend included Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the United Farmworkers Union with Cesar Chavez.
