Dozens to create "human billboard" to turn out Los Angeles’ voters in support of Antonio Villaraigosa

On Monday, one day before the election, United Farm Workers co-founder Dolores Huerta, Hollywood actors, and dozens of unions, community organizations and students will join 14th District council candidate Antonio Villaraigosa at a "human billboard" line at a busy intersection in East Los Angeles, urging passing motorists to go to the polls on Tuesday and elect Villaraigosa.

They will hold signs in both English and Spanish urging residents to "Vote for Antonio Villaraigosa" as well as non-partisan signs such as "Vote this Tuesday," "Vote for your children’s future" and "Vote for your community." They will also wave the United Farm Workers’ distinctive black eagle flag.

This human billboard comes in the midst of intensive door-to-door get-out-the-vote activities in support of Villaraigosa across the 14th District.  The UFW is strongly backing Antonio Villaraigosa, citing his long record of support for the Cesar Chavez-founded union.
