In a sign that the fight over renaming a street for civil rights hero Cesar Chavez truly is over, council member Steve Salazar will unveil one of the many street signs that soon will go up on what used to be South Central Expressway downtown.
The name change officially goes into effect Sunday.
Mayor Tom Leppert and other council members are expected to join Salazar at noon in City Hall’s Flag Room.
