Worth noting in the community: UFW immigration forum, scholarships and more

The United Farm Workers Foundation is hosting Community Education Forums on Immigration Reform in Bakersfield and Fresno. The events are in response to the recent unveiling of the Senate’s immigration reform bill.

A forum to explain the reform bill and the legislative process is slated for 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at East Hills Mall, 3000 Mall View Road, a news release said.

Another forum will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the UFW Foundation Office, 2409 Merced St. in Fresno.
