Jessica Juarez: I went to the Writers Strike because I think it is important to support others when in need. There were so many people, it was just an incredible and spiritual feeling to know that even in this chaotic world we live in today, we can still come together like brothers and sisters and chant together in support. This is one of the few times where race, color, culture, language does not make a difference because in the end we all have the same aspiration: to be treated equally and live a happy, successful life. I was proud to hold up a Writers Strike sign, knowing that in the end this was going to help someone become happier and live a better life with their family. SI SE PUEDE!

Veronica Sagastume: I was invited to the Writers Strike by my roommate Jessica Juarez who volunteers for UFW and decided to go because I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn and experience how important this issue is to writers. I think it is very important that different organizations support each other such as the United Farm Workers supported this strike. What I enjoyed most about it was that it was a very clean and non violent strike. This shows how people can come together and send a message without having to include violence.
