Prayer breakfast to honor memory of farm labor leader

A prayer breakfast March 31 in San Bernardino will honor the memory of farm labor leader Cesar Chavez.
Chavez, founder of the United Farm Workers Union who campaigned for better working conditions for farm workers, died in 1993.
The Cesar E. Chavez Prayer Breakfast is co-sponsored by the San Bernardino City and Colton Joint unified school districts, Seville Construction Services, Association of Mexican American Educators and the Kiwanis of Greater San Bernardino.
It will be held at 7 a.m. in the Gents Center, 1462 Art Townsend Drive in San Bernardino. A $5 donation will be collected at the door.
