Wooster High School students learned about Mexican-American farm worker and labor rights leader, Cesar Chavez.
One culturally diverse class at Wooster painted the hallway mural to express themselves.
The goal was to learn Chavez’s core values and express them through art.
He stood for peace, worker’s rights and community. "His words are what we practice all the time. We believe in our community, we believe in non-violence. We are here to improve and to graduate from high schoo, that’s why we’re here," says teacher Chris Klum.
Chavez was also a community organizer who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association.
