UFW president to march in Visalia
Arturo S. Rodriguez, president of the United Farm Workers, will march in Visalia on March 31, the 50th anniversary of the UFW and the birthday of founder Cesar Chavez.
The march starts at 10 a.m. at the College of the Sequoias and proceeds to the Visalia Community Campus, 204 N.W. Third Ave. with participants expected to arrive by noon.
Rodriguez will be the keynote speaker at the day’s event.
Festivities include a birthday celebration and community festival plus health and educational information booths that continue to 3 p.m.
