July 26: Message from UFW President Arturo Rodriguez

Wednesday July 21, I attended 2 rosaries. One was of a farm worker Rodolfo Ceballos Carrillo who appear to have died of a heat stroke. Unfortunately I just have heard about 4 other individuals who have also died of apparent heat stroke, this reminds me of 2008 when 6 other farm workers also passed away.

I also attended the Rosary of Manuel Herrera who had a long history of supporting the UFW. He chose to be buried just like Cesar Chavez did, in a pine wooded casket. He was a humble but fervent supporter and he ensured that his family were brought up supporting Cesar Chavez and the efforts of the UFW.

May both rest in peace and may their families have fun memories of their loved ones.
