We are getting ready to present Gov. Jerry Brown in Sacramento with the most important reform legislation for farm workers in the last decade, SB 104, the Fair Treatment for Farm Workers Act. Thousands of farm workers are currently signing cards asking the governor to let them choose how they will improve their lives and those of their families. The commitment, sacrifice and good will of farm workers never ceases to amaze us. Despite the burdens they confront working hard every day to feed our nation, farm workers keep fighting nonviolently to win dignity and respect. We will keep everyone updated as this campaign unfolds. Thank you for supporting the farm workers’ right to choose fair and just working conditions, decent wages and the ability to gain the union protections they so much deserve.
