WASHINGTON, DC – United Farm Workers President Arturo Rodriguez joined labor union leaders at the White House today to celebrate the creation of the Middle Class Working Families Task Force led by Vice-president Joe Biden. The following is a statement from UFW President Arturo Rodriguez:
"On behalf of the farm workers, most of whom are struggling to join the middle class, I am happy to participate in the launching of the White House Task Force on the Middle Class. The president has kept his promise to bring everybody to the table and together help rebuild this great country. This is a positive step towards helping farm workers and their families achieve the American Dream."
