UFW, UFW Foundation, Radio Campesina, Cesar Chavez Foundation to present informational sessions on administrative relief

After Thursday’s night historical executive action announcement by President Obama, the United Farm Workers of America, UFW Foundation,  Radio Campesina and the Cesar Chavez Foundation will be hosting info sessions today in four West Coast cities to answer the latest immigration questions.

The UFW, UFW Foundation, Radio Campesina and the Cesar Chavez Foundation have all been leaders in the fight for comprehensive immigration reform for more than a decade with their nationwide campaign "Con La Union de Campesinos Tendremos Papeles" (With the United Farm Workers, we will get our papers). In fall 2014,  the "Ya Mero!" campaign  was launched to inform and motivate farm workers that "We’re Almost There" in achieving immigration reform.

These sessions are designed to educate, inform and urge the local undocumented community to learn about the new relief and to begin to prepare the items they will need to apply in the future.

Under the Obama administrative relief  5 million undocumented citizens can now live, work and stay in a country they’ve called home for years to come out of the shadows without being deported.

These info sessions began yesterday in eight cities. For more information on today’s sessions and upcoming ones call the UFW Foundation at: 877-881-8281.
