Senate vote imminent: Act to save highest-paying domestic farm jobs

UFW response to EPA delaying protections for workers applying most toxic pesticides

UFW response to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcement that it is delaying the implementation of the new Certification of Pesticide Applicators (CPA) rule for a year

“We are outraged at this delay. Workers who handle neurotoxic pesticides should have the strongest protections available. With this 12 month delay the EPA is putting farm workers and their children at risk. The EPA itself had pointed to multiple tragic incidents where children died or were seriously injured. This delay is an abuse of the process and puts the people the EPA is supposed to protect in danger.”
