More than 70 United Farm Worker activists will join UFW President Arturo Rodriguez and U.S. Rep. Cal Dooley (D-Hanford) in a get-out-the-vote lunchtime rally Tuesday afternoon in Delano for 30th Assembly District Democratic candidate Nicole Parra. It is part of an all-out drive by the Cesar Chavez-founded union to turn out Latino voters for Parra and other UFW-backed candidates. 

Immediately after the 1:30 p.m. rally at the union’s “Forty Acres” headquarters in Delano, the UFW’s Rodriguez will join union members and supporters who will continue to walk precincts door-to-door in the Delano area.  Parra and Dooley will travel on to Hanford where they will join other supporters who are walking precincts.

Who:    UFW President Arturo Rodriguez, U.S. Rep. Cal Dooley, Assembly candidate Nicole Parra, and more than 70 farm worker activists.

What:   A get-out-the-vote rally followed by precinct walking in Delano.
