Immigrants, business owners to release study outside Walgreens store in Los Angeles, where many do back-to-school shopping

 

(Los Angeles) – Immigrant workers, business owners, religious, and labor leaders will release a new UCLA study on the economic contributions of immigrants on the U.S. economy at the Walgreens on 6^th and Vermont in Los Angeles, where many immigrants do their back-to-school shopping.
 
The study, to be released by UCLA’s North American Integration and Development Center, explores the effect undocumented immigrants currently have on the U.S. economy. 
 
With the White House only seven days from a major announcement on immigration policy with the new president of Mexico, the new UCLA study also examines the potential economic impact of competing proposals for immigration reform.
