Final farm worker push for Latino voter turnout Monday in Coachella and Calexico
One day before the election, United Farm Workers President Arturo Rodriguez and UFW co-founder Dolores Huerta will join farm worker activists and 80th Assembly District Democratic candidate Joey Acuna in a final all-out push to boost Latino voter turnout with events Monday in the Coachella and Imperial valleys.
These final campaign events climax efforts by hundreds of farm worker volunteers who have been working long hours each day since Saturday going door-to-door in both Riverside and Imperial counties urging Latinos to go to the polls.
Huerta will appear with campaign volunteers at an 11 a.m. news conference Monday at the UFW office in Coachella. Rodriguez will join Acuna and dozens of activists Monday in Calexico at a 12 noon "human billboard" line at the corner of Hwy. 111 and Hwy. 98/Birch Rd. in Calexico.

Coachella, 11 a.m. Monday–UFW co-founder Dolores Huerta and campaign activists at the UFW’s Coachella office, 51800 Harrison St., Ste. 3 (at Ave. 52).
Calexico, 12 noon Monday–UFW President Arturo Rodriguez, Assembly candidate Joey Acuna and dozens of supporters at the corner of Hwy. 111 and Hwy. 98/Birch Rd. in Calexico.
