Research Intern Volunteer Opportunity

The United Farm Workers offers opportunities to members of the community interested in volunteering in person and/or on-line.

Volunteering is a great way to support the Farm Workers Movement and promote the legacy while learning and serving. It can also provide experience for a career you may be considering as well as an appreciable quality to resumes!

Training and supervision are provided.

The UFW Strategic Campaigns Department is looking for interns to:

  • Research selected agricultural employers and industries
  • Monitor selected agriculture related websites and social media postings for significant changes
  • Use information for building a contract campaign that results in a productive collective bargaining relationship.

Those working on-line remote must be willing to use zoom and google drive programs. On-site interns and volunteers must be fully vaccinated against covid-19 or provide certified proof of medical or religious exemption form; wear a mask when indoors; maintain social distancing; and take a temperature test before starting work. Those working on-line remote must be willing to use zoom and google drive programs. A commitment to average 5-10 hours a week for 12 or more weeks is recommended for this internship.
