Protect immigrants from deportation, farm workers will urge at human billboard event

Today, the United Farm Workers, UFW Foundation, farm workers and allies will form a socially-distanced human billboard urging bold action in the early days of the Biden-Harris administration to protect all immigrants from deportation.

Washington state farm workers demand the incoming Biden-Harris administration and Congress protect our nation’s undocumented immigrants, including farm workers who are at the core of the food supply chain and on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The demands include the need to undo the damage caused by the Trump administration, a moratorium on deportations, and the creation of a roadmap to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. The UFW & UFW Foundation are part of a new national immigration coalition that will formally launch in early 2021.

UFW Foundation’s Emergency Relief Coordinator Zaira Sanchez is available for interviews.
