TURLOCK NOW: César Chávez celebration planned
TURLOCK — Celebrate the life and legacy of César Chávez with California State University, Stanislaus Wednesday.
The 18th annual César E. Chávez Celebration will be on the CSU Stanislaus quad from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by an event center program from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Daytime activities will include an information booth, displays and karaoke. The evening program will have a keynote address by Armando Elenes, national vice president of United Farm Workers, as well as a poster contest and other entertainment.
All the activities are free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in Lot 11. For more information call (209) 667-3982.
