Libraries mark Chavez birthday The Cesar Chavez and El Gabilan branches of the Salinas Public Library on Friday will celebrate farm labor leader Cesar Chavez’s birthday. Cesar Chavez Library, 615 Williams Road, will host from 3 to 4 p.m. the Yaocuauhtli Danza Cultural Group Aztec dance group, and from 4 to 5 p.m. Diana Borrego will present "Cesar Chavez: A Family Program," which includes stories, poems and a craft. From 5 to 5:45 p.m. Monterey County Supervisor Simón Salinas will speak on "Cesar Chavez’s Legacy." Birthday cake will be served. El Gabilan Library at 1400 N.
