Southern Arizonans honor Cesar Chavez’ legacy

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) – Southern Arizonans are honoring Cesar Chavez’s legacy this weekend. The 11th annual Cesar Chavez March and Rally took place Saturday morning.
Students from Tucson Unified School District, Sunnyside Unified School District, and Luz Academy organized the event.
They walked from Pueblo High School to Rudy Garcia Park to honor the civil rights and labor leader.
Besides celebrating Chavez’s life and work, students also protested cuts to the ethnic studies program.
